2008 Audi a6 Reviews

When we reviewed the Audi A6  we realized that the eighth generation of Audi’s best-selling model is already at dealerships and comes with a target of about 20,000 drivers are made with one this year. At the moment is available with six engines. Three of gasoline, 1.8 T FSI with 120 hp and 160 hp and the 3.2 FSI with 265 hp, and three diesel, 2.0 TDI of 143 hp, 2.7 TDI with 190 hp and 240 hp 3.0 TDI. It also provides three types of changes but not all of the propellants. The multi-tronic with 8-speed automatic in the 1.8 T FSI 160 hp and 190 hp and 2.7 TDI multitronic with 7 walks in the 2.0 TDI 143 hp, the 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic on the 265 bhp 3.2 FSI and the manual with six gears in the 1.8 T FSI with 120 hp and 160 hp in the 3.2 FSI with 265 hp in the 2.0 TDI with 143 hp and the 3.0 TDI with 240 hp. Prices range between 28,350 euros of the 1.8 T FSI 120 hp and 6-speed and 47,670 euros of the 265 bhp 3.2 FSI quattro Tiptronic. Excluding the tax has only gone up by 1% on average for the previous generation, but if we take into account the new registration tax, 90% of the range benefits from a lower price.

During May the range of the new Audi A6 reviews shows that it is expanded as the family version and this year also comes new combinations of engines and transmissions. The German manufacturer also has informed us that they are working in a dual-clutch to change their models, but for now there is no date of marketing and that the change of DSG VW-Audi group cannot be mounted on vehicles with engine located so long as is the case with the Audi models.

The theme chosen by Audi for the launch of its new model is “At the forefront of the art” with which the brand wants to show the many innovative solutions including the new A6, and even with many of them anticipate the wishes of customers.

If we make a short summary of the highlights of the Audi A6 this would be the list: the eighth generation grows in length and wheelbase, reduces its consumption and pollutant emissions, with improved engines, including the Diesel particulate filter as standard, it is the first Audi model using the dynamic address which automatically corrects for small variations in the path of the vehicle also added the Audi Drive Select which allows you to set up three positions in the response of the engine, steering, damping and the automatic change and new aid to driving as optional alert system change lanes, the cruise control with radar proximity, assistant to the advancement and support for parking by rear camera.

Audi has developed a new touchdown of the model star of its range due to the arrival of the first units to dealers. On this occasion we have chosen to be the most demanded engine, the new Audi 2.0 TDI with 143 hp and six-speed manual shift.

This four-cylinder engine is new to the range. It offers 143 hp instead of 140 as before and also adds common-rail. The highlight is that it is more gentle, gradual and silent. This is an important feature in the 2008 Audi A6 reviews

The new length allows for a greater impact and dynamic performance. The largest wheelbase improves the comfort of motion, limiting the movement of the body and surface noise, besides giving more robustness to the car.

The truth is that few stick can be drawn to this car, you might say that with fashion to increase the size does not make a car as elegant, comfortable and at the same time manageable. The new Audi A6 is driving very well, it should be, powerful, comfortable were the main aims … but once inside it shows that they’re in a car larger and therefore less manageable to move around town or doing exercises. Is no longer much difference with respect to the Audi A6 that are at dealerships.

It is the first time that I drive the new 2008 Audi A6  and the motor input in the range Diesel not disappointed at all. Its 143 hp offer strong enough to travel with great dynamism. The handover of power is very progressive and also the accuracy of the gearbox and the leadership succeeds in driving a whole as pleasant.

Part 2 of the Article on How To Change Engine Oil and how often in this complete Guide.

Step 4 - Remove the Oil Filter

Unscrew the filter of oil in the opposite direction at the hands of the clock with a filter wrench. Complete the transaction with his hand, taking care not to touch the collector of combustion gases. The oil filter can be full and feel somewhat heavy. Then download it and carefully remove the engine, tilted its contents into the tray.

Step 5 - Replace the filter oil

Take your rag and wipe the inside and around the filter placed in the engine. Then, take a new filter and use your fingers to apply a light film of oil (new or used) on the board (the edge of the circular filter), which acts as a sealer. Carefully screw the new filter to the line of marked oil. By turning in the direction of the hands of the clock. Once that is aligned in an appropriate manner, the filter wraps with ease. Set the filter by hand, being careful not to tighten too much.

Clean the plug of the board of oil and copper and then align and replace the cap. Screw cap with his hand and finished tighten with a wrench. Once this is completed, do not squeeze much

Step 6 - Add oil Clean

Carefully remove the hand brake and let the car slowly down the ramp toward the ground level (do not turn on the engine in this step or a serious da? Or may happen). At the top of the engine found? cap filled with oil, usually marked with the symbol of oil can. Unscrew the lid and proceed to fill the engine with oil quality requirements, reviewing with the meter of oil that reaches the appropriate level.

Replace the lid and clean up any spills. The lighter oil will tend to leave as soon as you start the engine. Let the engine switched on for several minutes, then turn it off and check the oil level once more to ensure you have the appropriate level. It is normal to have to add a little more oil. Finally, check underneath the vehicle to prevent leaks, particularly around the oil filter cap and to drain.

More easy to what he believed? Be sure to keep a written record in the glove compartment, the mileage of any oil change. In that way it will be easier to maintain control over when you have the following exchange. Also, if you decide to sell your car in the future, to have verification of the various oil changes, you can increase the resale value of your car.

Step 7 - Collect Used Oil

Think that is over Not yet. The latest and in some ways the most important step to change the oil, is properly disposing of waste oil that has been drained from the vehicle. The engine used oil is very toxic to the environment and the most important thing is to have it in the safest way. Transfer the used oil in a sealed container and check with your local workshop on the different options that exist for recycling or storage.

Change the oil yourself to your car is not only a good save money, but it is much easier than it seems. However, whether they do so for the first time or whether an experienced hand, we can show you a series of tips to perform this task as simply as possible.

What do you need?

About 5 liters of motor oil

An oil filter

A wrench to the nut or drained a key to the measure and a key filter.

A large tray to drain, at least 6 to 8 liters of capacity.

A waste rag

A cleaning solution and latex gloves.

A funnel

Step 1 - Choose the Oil

Your manual should recommend certain amount of oil to be used under normal operation, as well as the number of miles that can drive the vehicle before you change the oil. However, if done often short trips, constant stops and starts in traffic, trailers and moving, its engine makes extra efforts that require more frequent changes. Be sure to check the manual for special conditions and does not exceed the recommendations of the security

As a rule intuitive, change your motor oil and oil filter for every 5000 miles or every 3 months, whichever comes first. This practice will provide greater protection and long life of its engine. (Be sure to consult your owner’s manual for specific conditions and do not exceed the recommendations of the warranty.)

Step 2 - Prepare Your Vehicle

Always be sure to consult the manual for specific safety issues before preparing the car.

Never use a cat to keep the vehicle at high because it is very unstable. The ramps are ideal portable and more secure. Ramps inclined the car enough power to allow a slip underneath. Make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions Ramp, especially in security. After making sure you’re in a required level, drive the vehicle toward the ramp to the front wheels are high. Put both the hand brake on the wheels and blocks of wood to prevent the vehicle to roll. Put the car in first gear if manual transmission or “parking” if automatic transmission. The cold oil should not be drained before starting the engine. Start the car to increase the temperature of the oil and bring it to normal operating temperatures. Then, turn off the engine and lift the boss to loosen the filter and thus avoid a vacuum. This allows the oil to drain from the bottom of an easier way.

Step 3 - Empty Oil

Find the plug-drained soil in the bottom of the vehicle. This must be located in the bottom of the rear of the engine or carter. Be sure not to loosen the cap draining of the automatic transmission, by mistake. Place the tray to drain the oil beneath the drain plug and slightly rearward. Using his key, move the plug in contrast to the hands of the clock until they rotate freely. Finish the operation by screwing with your hand. At this point, make sure that the oil comes out with freedom and is likely to come out hot. Try not to pull the plug into the tray, but do not worry if that happens.

Carrera 911 turbo

The new generation is starring engine with direct injection and an automatic double-clutch seven developments. The new 911 Carrera model of access to the range, will have a price of USD$150,000.

Porsche 911 - Porsche has presented four new models in the range 911: two coupés and two rafters who have improved their engines and new advances in mechanics. The most novel is that for the first time, the thrusters (still 3.6 and 3.8) will be direct injection and may be associated with the gearbox of a double clutch (KDP) that Porsche sold as an option at all.

The cylinder capacity of the Carrera and Carrera S models remain unchanged, not the powers. The 3.6 passes of 325 to 345 hp, while the Carrera S 3.8 of the passes of 355 to 385 hp.

Porsche DoppleKupplung

Porsche 911 automatic that Porsche change introduced for 2008 which replaces the hitherto been the feature in the 911, the Titptronic S. Thanks to the adjustments for the change, the engines will be more savers: the new Carrera coupe, for instance, has reported consumption of 9.8 liters to the hundred, thus improving by more than 1 liter consumption of the current model. The benefits have been improved considerably, with an acceleration for the Carrera S Coupe KDP of 4.5 seconds (0.2 seconds faster than with manual shift).

There is an option called Sport Chrono Plus in which the acceleration data can be downloaded even more, rising to 4.3 seconds. This system is equipped with Launch Control, which can generate more power to the wheels from standing for a faster exit without exhaust. Although not plentiful, external changes are important for its influence on safety. The lighting has improved dramatically thanks to the rear with LED technology, optical front in daylight (also by LEDs), lights and lighting adaptive option on the range.

New Porsche Models

The new Porsche models cars for the refined Cayenne has been released for 2008. These new Porsche models include the base, S, and the Turbo. The significant changes are the angrier looking and more slated Volkswagen headlamps and a much more revised front fascia coupled with ribs cutting across larger vents on the new cars. The good thing is that the Porsche cayenne turbo model still has its signature look with the hood bulges. It differs from the other two new Porsche models by having much larger turning indicators that bear a close resemblance to the light emitting diode (LED) strips that were located on the front of the new Porsche model 911 Turbo. The base and S models have smaller and round LED indicators. Along with the refined Porsche Boxster there is an increase of five horsepower for each new model.

All three new Cayenne’s, the base, S, and the Turbo, have the larger gill with new engines and suspension options. They employ and use a new line of V-6 and V-8 car engines with direct fuel injection (DFI). This provides more power and improved efficiency. All new Porsche models have a new electronic suspension system called the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). The cars are described as even more muscle-bound because of the increased horse power jumping from 340 and 450 horsepower to 385 and 500 horsepower respectively. Even more importantly is highway fuel economy that has been beefed up by 15 percent for the Cayenne S and by 11 percent for the Porsche Turbo. The DFI made by VW has a V-6 power manual-transmission having been enlarged from 3.2 to 3.6 liters providing 43 horsepower an adjustment fit for future cars. They also come with anti roll bars on air-suspended models. The new addition of Porsche’s Stability Management (PSM) has brake assist function, advanced trailer stabilization system and off-road Anti Brake Locking System improving the braking reaction speed.
