Which company manufactures the Porsche?

The company that manufactures Porsche is Porsche AG. Its full form is Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG and is most of the time shortened to just Porsche. Continuing for the past 50 years, with its relentless service, Porsche has now become the ultimate definition in sports car driving. Porsche AG is a German manufacturer of automobiles, the majority of which is owned by the Austrian Porsche and Piëch families. Its founder father was Ferdinand Porsche, an Austro-Hungarian engineer, who was born in Maffersdorf (Vratislavice), Bohemia. Porsche was first marketed in the year 1931. Porsche AG is headquartered in Zuffenhausen, a city district of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg.

There had been a lot of zeal by large carmakers to merge with Porsche. However, Porsche believes in the theory that a small company does not necessarily have to survive by resting on the shoulders of any other giant company. So initially, when Porsche started its business it refused to merge with other companies and marched on its own. At present Porsche AG produces Boxster, 911 (997), and Cayman sports cars. They also produce Cayenne sports utility vehicles. Now, Porsche has become a brand name in the field of sports car and its main rival is Ferrari.
